Well, it's been a while since I've written last, and I'm feeling a bit cantankerous at the moment. I've had mono for the past week, and I'm bored out of my mind. How much resting does one need? I can't go back to work, I'm tired but I can't sleep, I've watched more tell than I've thought possible, and my couch is permanently molded to my body contour.
I guess I should be happy. Republicans lost control of the House and Senate which means the States actually have a government body based on the principles on which it was founded--three separate but equal powers who all equally distrust each other for separate reasons. Thanksgiving was good, the Christmas season has been pushed on us as quickly as retail giants can without starting it before the turkey's in the oven, we've had our first snowfall, and Chelsea's still running strong through their fixtures. What more can a guy want?
No more mono!
So, I just happened to come across CrooksAndLiars.com when doing some research for the Michael J. Fox post. While I find the site visually unappealing, I was impressed in the amount of content contributed. Although I haven't had a chance to really look at it to evaluate journalistic integrity, I'd be interested to hear what others have to say about it.

It's a sad state of affairs where the Conservative Right has to demonize, discount, and even poke fun at a medical condition rather than addressing the content of a person's message.
Just a few great examples of many that prove that God isn't a Republican (or a Democrat): Barak Obama, Anne Lamott and other Faithful Democrats. I really am ashamed of people who believe otherwise. Sometimes it just blows my mind that educated people could be so closed-minded, blinded and gullible. This is one of the many thing wrong with "American Christians" today.
